We’re excited to announce two brand-new photography expeditions for 2027, each offering a completely different, but equally unforgettable, wildlife experience. From tracking one of the world’s most elusive big cats high in the Himalayas, to photographing European wildlife in one of the last remaining primeval forests, these trips are designed for photographers seeking rare encounters, expert guidance, and truly wild places.
Snow Leopard Photography Expedition — February 2027
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to search for and photograph the legendary snow leopard, often called the “ghost of the mountains.”
Set in the dramatic winter landscapes of the Himalayas, this expedition takes place during peak snow leopard activity and mating season, when movement and sightings are at their highest. Working alongside elite local trackers - including spotters featured on BBC Earth productions - you’ll scan vast mountain slopes, learn high-altitude fieldcraft, and track wildlife in one of the most remote environments on Earth.
You’ll be guided throughout by a professional wildlife photographer and a BBC Planet Earth field guide, with ongoing tuition in wildlife photography, ethical tracking, and storytelling in extreme environments. Expect breathtaking scenery, challenging but rewarding days in the field, and the chance to photograph one of the rarest big cats on the planet in its natural habitat.
This expedition is designed for small groups, ensuring maximum time in the field and highly personalised guidance.
Białowieża Wildlife Photography Tour — April 2027
In contrast to the stark Himalayan winter, our new Białowieża tour immerses you in the lush, atmospheric forests of eastern Poland during spring, one of the most beautiful times of year to photograph wildlife in Europe.
Białowieża Forest is one of the continent’s last remaining primeval woodlands, home to European bison, wolves, deer, owls, woodpeckers, and a rich diversity of birdlife and mammals. This trip focuses on hide-based wildlife photography, offering close, intimate encounters and exceptional opportunities for stills and video.
Over seven days, you’ll take part in guided hide sessions, benefit from combined photography and video tuition, and enjoy a relaxed, small-group experience designed to maximise both creativity and time in the field. The fresh light, spring activity, and ancient forest setting make this an ideal trip for photographers who love atmospheric wildlife imagery and subtle, natural moments

Two Very Different Adventures - One Shared Philosophy
Both trips reflect what Wilder Photography does best: small-group experiences, expert guidance, ethical wildlife encounters, and carefully chosen locations that offer outstanding photographic potential.
Whether you’re drawn to the extreme challenge of tracking snow leopards in the mountains, or the immersive calm of a spring forest alive with wildlife, 2027 offers two exceptional opportunities to expand your portfolio and experience nature at its wildest.
