We’re delighted to share that all three of our Zimanga trips – 2025, 26 and 27 – are now fully booked. A huge thank you to everyone who has secured their place; we can’t wait to welcome you for what promises to be another incredible series of wildlife photography adventures.
But the exciting news doesn’t stop there…
We're thrilled to announce the launch of a brand-new adventure: the Zimanga Mozambique Wildlife Photography Tour, taking place in October 2026.
This is the next chapter in Zimanga’s story - a brand-new lodge built on the stunning Mozambican coastline, set within a protected marine reserve. Unlike our South African trips, which focus on terrestrial wildlife and photographic hides, this experience is more focused on the extraordinary marine and coastal ecosystems of Mozambique.
We’ll be based in the new Zimanga lodge, perfectly placed on the edge of the ocean, with all the comfort and attention to detail that Zimanga is known for. From here, we’ll explore coral reefs, seagrass beds, mangroves, and pristine sandy bays, photographing the incredible life they support. Expect opportunities with:
Marine megafauna such as dolphins, turtles, manta rays and whales.
Rare and iconic species like dugongs, which find refuge in these seagrass meadows.
Birdlife along the coast and mangroves, from beeeaters to waders and terns.
Coral reef life – colourful fish, invertebrates, and the unique patterns and textures of healthy reefs.
The lodge will be our base for snorkelling trips, boat excursions, and coastal explorations, with time built in to relax, review images, and enjoy the tranquillity of this wild coastline.
This promises to be a completely different photographic experience to Zimanga in South Africa, but with the same philosophy: creating the best possible conditions to capture the natural world in comfort, with expert guidance and unrivalled access.
